IUGO is currently seeking an Accountant to join our Finance/Payroll team! This candidate should be detail oriented, tech-savvy, passionate about administration, and service oriented with the ability to solve problems independently. The Accountant requires extraordinary interpersonal, and organizational skills, and the highest level of integrity. Candidates with British Columbia payroll experience is required. 

COVID-19 Protocol:

Our employees are currently given the option to either work remotely from home, OR from the studio (provided they complete our 30 minute Covid-19 Safety Training). Our entire interview and onboarding process can be completed from the comfort of your own home.   • Support Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks
  • Assist in preparing month end
  • Accurately maintain payroll records with the highest level of confidentiality
  • Reconcile source deductions to benefit provider invoices and other remittances
  • Ensure taxable benefits are recorded properly
  • Responsible for the registration and termination of benefit programs
  • Other admin and accounting ah-hoc tasks


  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting
  • Enrolled as a student/candidate in the BC CPA program 
  • Have 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with British Columbia Employment Standards Act 
  • Experience with Quickbooks is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail, superior organizational skills, maturity, competence, tact and discretion and ability to follow instructions
  • Proven trustworthy, reliable and dependable while  operating under the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy
